Tikis are carved idols representing the ancient gods from which the Polynesian peoples believed themselves to be descended from, which these days are more commonly celebrated as symbols of good luck. Individually hand-carved, from palm wood this tiki with its characteristic headdress is Kanaloa, god of the ocean.
