Description

These Indonesian tribal war shields with their symbolic heads at the top were traditionally carved prior to a headhunting raid; they’re now usually hung near doorways to keep evil spirits at bay.

Individually hand carved in characteristic high relief style, these replica shields are decorated using natural pigments which leave a chalky residue and are then aged, meaning that each piece is unique.  Please note that these items may differ slightly in design and finish to the image shown.
