At the core of The Little Grass Shack is family. Like many, Covid had a distinct effect on us, both business-wise and personally and we decided it was an opportunity for change.

Still passionate about our brand and the products we create but with rising costs looking to swallow us whole, we upped sticks and left Hackneys Urban Jungle to take advantage of an idea that had come to us quite some years before when we bought a small piece of land on the edge of the Costa Rican Rain Forest.

 

The plan is to build our dream home and a new purpose built 2000 sq. ft pottery for all our ceramics. From here we can keep our costs low and create jobs for our local community hand-making all your favourite mugs whilst making a traditionally energy intensive process, more environmentally friendly as our electricity is already over 85% renewable.

With a new, improved and bigger warehouse still in Europe, we can store all our goodies and keep costs low so we can create much, much more for you to fill your Tiki Huts and Homes with going forward and without any extra costs in the price of shipping! In fact, we have manged to lower the cost to the states!

But our plans don’t stop there, we hope to create our own water source; recycle all our pottery waste to produce other products like tiles;  fire our Kilns using our own production of Hydrogen using solar and seawater, and then invite you all to join us for Tiki mug making getaways, but one step at a time! We are all feeling much more creatively inspired and hope to start bringing a lot more really cool products your way. So watch this space…
